Mr. Tennyson-THREE years old!!!

My sister, Katie, and her husband, Ryan, brought over my nephew Tennyson this evening!  Mr. Tennyson just turned three in August and was needing some new photographs!  I was happy to provide them!  Just a side note to stay tuned...Katie is expecting a little man in November so look for shots of him! :)  Here is a sneak peek of Tennyson:

It was tricky getting Tennyson to look and smile naturally...but we got some! :)

The many expressions of Tennyson!  I think this one might be my favorite! :)

We got some giggles out of Tennyson by talking about knuckle heads and porch climbers...family joke...lol!

Every three year-old needs a cheesy grin picture developed!!  I LOVE this one and especially love Mr. Tennyson in his glasses! :)

This is another one of my favorites!!!  I was trying to pose Tennyson and this is what he ended up doing...  I find it incredibly amusing because Tennyson is often compared to Mckauley Culkin from Home Alone...not so funny if you never saw the movie!  Lol!

Growing like a weed...

And gotta have at least one good head shot! :)

Senior Portraits-Alex!

Something different for me today...a senior portrait session and I LOVED it!!!  Quite different than the little ones I typically photograph in that I didn't have to ask Alex 100 times to stand still, pose a certain way, smile, etc.  Alex was super cooperative and just posed himself so naturally!  Obviously, he is in his senior year this year.  Weird for me because when I first met him, he was about 4 years-old!  Still strange to see him driving or to hear a deep voice instead of a high-pitched one...awe...So here is a sneak peek!  Don't worry Micki (mom), there are plenty more to choose from!  Seems that I prefer the pictures with glasses and with the closed mouth smile the most...but I threw in a couple without glasses and with some teeth showing!! ;)  Here they are:

I LOVE this one!!!  The trees looked insanely green today so made for a fabulous backdrop!!!  I told Alex I wouldn't make him pose all girlie...turns out there aren't a ton of "guy" poses to choose from...but Alex did great and was very natural!  He must have had his picture taken before unlike some of the babies I see!  Lol... ;)

Love it!!  Gotta have a shot with the hands in the pockets...classic...

I LOVE this one!  Background looks awesome with what Alex is wearing...I think so anyway...

I have been eyeing up this barn for months...thrilled I finally found someone to place in front of it! ;)

So Alex is a HUGE fan of frisbee golf...so it seemed appropriate to take some shots at a frisbee golf (field?) location.  And Alex is a big Dallas fan! ;)

It was drizzling at this point but thankfully the rain stayed away!!  Thanks for the fun morning Alex!!! :)

Triple the Trouble!!! ;)

All three of my first babies from January have come back to see me now! ;)  Last but not least is Miss Emma, who is now 8 months old!  And she did not come alone!!  Her mom, Jenny, brought Emma, Emma's 9 month-old cousin, Alek, and Emma's 20 month-old cousin, Taylor.  Miss Taylor has also come to visit me before so it was nice to see her again!!  The goal was to get at least one good picture of the three of them together, then each of them alone.  Here is a sneak peek and I will let you judge if we succeeded! ;)

Best of the three!!  Getting THREE babies to look at the same place is really not the simplest thing to do...surprise, surprise!  Especially with all three being very mobile!!!  The easiest way to get them to "stay..." use "containers!!!  Lol...and even this one I did a copy and paste so Miss Taylor would be looking too! ;)  Well, I am happy because everyone is looking with all eyes open! ;)

Loving this one!  Alek was quite enjoying playing in the truck!  Little did he know we just didn't want him to move for a minute!  Lol!  Where did your feet go in those pants Alek?!  Lol...

HAD to do a flower pot pose!!  Love Miss Emma's facial expression here...nothing cuter than when a baby sucks in his or her lips!!! :)

One of Emma and Mama! :)

A very serious Alek...very adorable! :)

When Taylor first came to see me, I went out and bought one of her dresses for my own daughter...now I need this one!  Very beautiful Emma! :)

And Miss Taylor decided she would do some last minute posing...this is one of my favorites!  I love this girl and her spunky attitude!!! ;)

Cousins!!

A couple weeks ago, I had a couple friends bring their children for pictures...It was very hush, hush because the friends are sisters and they were creating a gift for their mother's birthday with the pictures.  Well, their mother's birthday was this past week, so cat is out of the bag and pictures can become public! ;)  First up, I had the pleasure of taking Lady Kate's pictures!  She is 7 months old now and getting into quite a bit of mischief for being so young!  She was showing off her motor skills like crazy while visiting!!  I did Kate's 6 week baby pictures and there are a couple of them on my blog...she is the little princess in the pink tutu! :)  Here are a few favorites:

Looking ridiculously cute in her Brewer attire...

Kate's mama brought some really cute girlie bloomers! :)

 Vintage Kate...

Pretty girl!!  At that age where everything tastes yummy!!!:)

And then Melissa and her husband Mike arrived with their two sons.  Here are some of Jared, Nathan, and some of the three together! :)
Nathan is six years-old already!  And to clarify, Melissa and Amy's mother LOVES the Cubs, so that will explain any questions regarding the outfits... ;)

He is just too cute!  I love this one! :)

Big brother Jared just turned nine!!!  Feels like he was born yesterday...we closed on our home on the day Jared came into this world!!

Apparently Jared has a girlfriend already...makes me feel a little old... ;)

Every parent knows, the more children you add to a picture, the more complicated things can get...but we got some fun ones I think! :)

Cute cousins...I just love Kate's eyes! :)  The boys are so good with her too!

For this, we had to be extra sneaky...this is behind Melissa and Amy's mother's home...

Cool cousins!  Lol!  I love it! :)

To get this picture looking this way...I learned how to do a copy and paste in photoshop!!  Did it for a couple others too...poor Nathan is just at an age where he anticipates a flash and his eyes end up completely shut!  Lol!  I would know...my six year-old suffers from the same dilemma!! ;)

W Family!

An old friend stopped by with her beautiful family, consisting of her husband, 8 month-old daughter, Kinsleigh, and two pugs!!!  I must admit the idea of photographing a couple of dogs caused a couple restless nights, but it went GREAT!!!  The dogs were amazing!!!  Kinsleigh is very mobile now so her patience was not very long, but think we still got some good options! :)  Super excited to take Kinsleigh's one year pictures in a few months!! :)  Here is a sneak peek:

The perfectly posed family...they knew just what to do!!!  And those pugs were amazing!!!  Names of pugs: Newman (on the left) and Guiness (on the right).  Most adorable names ever for pugs and sorry guys if I totally misspelled your names!!! ;)

 The family babies... ;)

Mommy and daughter!  Gorgeous! :)

My first favorite was another one where Kinsleigh was in Kevin's lap and smiling...but upon further inspection, I just adore this shot!  Something about the pose and the expression on both of their faces!!!  Not sure how Kevin was comfortable sitting on the floor that way but didn't want to make him move around too much... ;)  After they left, I thought that I should have had everyone take off their shoes...but oh well...next time! ;)
