Lady Kinsleigh: ONE year old!!!

Little Miss Kinsleigh came for a visit this morning...this time her family is preparing for her very first birthday!!!  Wow, did that year fly by quickly!!!  I did Kinsleigh's pictures for the first time when she was six weeks old.  And, if it is possible, she seems to be cuter each time I see her!!  Here is a sneak peek of Kinsleigh:

Kinsleigh is a busy girl now so she had things to do besides have her picture taken!!! ;)  So to distract her, I pulled out my anticipated Christmas present that my daughter and I will share...Glad I did!  This shot of Kinsleigh is priceless!!! :)

It is unreal how beautiful this girl's eyes are...not to mention how pinchable those cheeks are! ;)

Kinsleigh was actually crawling away from us in this one...surprised it ended up being one of my favorites! :)

Big girl in her Christmas dress...

A little sad at this point in the session...there were some Cheerios on this little stool...but a little magic and they are invisible to the human eye!!! ;)

Baby Kingston: 15 days new!!!

My precious new nephew finally came to see me for a portrait session today!!!  I am done taking on new sessions in anticipation of my own bundle of joy, but no way I could NOT do Kingston's pictures!!  He made us work for it too!!!  We tried and tried, but this little man just didn't want to be happy or asleep!!  Of course, as soon as we were finished, he zonked out!  And the most comfortable spot for him ended up being the teacup...who would have guessed?!  So we did a bunch of "wardrobe" changes in that position and got some really cute shots!!  Although I guess I am a little biased with this one... ;)  Here is Kingston:

Since this ended up being Kingston's favorite spot, we switched up his hats many times just for fun!!  I LOVE this one!!!!  The hat (made by my darling sister, Katie!) reminds me of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and I LOVE the way it matches the teacup!!  Oh, I also love how Kingston's mouth is slightly open...CUTENESS!!!

One of the first shots we got...I adore this one as I think he looks much like my favorite younger sister!!!  Still looks like Daddy quite a bit, but nice to see Katie too...Looks like someone is going to have brown eyes!! :)

Kingston is looking very much like big brother, Tennyson, in this one!!  I love the leg kick! ;)

He did "almost" sleep a few times! ;)

Finally cozy in the teacup...Love the sweet position of his hands/arms! :)

This was my first favorite!!  Very festive with the red and green!!! :)

Aviator Kingston!! :)

Christmas Time with Miss Kate!!!

Miss Kate returned for her Christmas pictures this morning!!!!  She is walking all over now so we had to be quick!!!!  Kate is gorgeous and the camera loves her and her big baby blues!!  Here is a sneak peek! :)

Miss Kate's family always brings the best props!!!  Kate was not a big fan of the hat so we had to be very quick!!!

Pretty girl...

I LOVE this one!!!!

Smiling for her daddy!!! :)

Do not open until Christmas... ;)

Some photoshop magic to match Kate's accessories! ;)

G Family

I met a new beautiful family this morning!!  They brought their new addition, Luke, who is just a little over two weeks old, and their almost three-year-old, Nathan.  Here is a sneak peek:

Here is the shot Mama absolutely had to have!! :)  I don't blame her...my favorite too! :)

What a little darling Luke is!! :)

Nothing quite like little squished lips, is there?! ;)  And then there is the cutest hat I have EVER seen...

Beautiful family...mama and her boys!! :)

And the closest we got to a smile out of Mr. Nathan!  He was just not too much in the mood for pictures today!  Lol!  This one I got when I bribed him with goldfish...the only time I say it is okay to bribe kids with food is during a portrait session...and I said that before I became a photographer myself! ;)

Christopher: TWO years old!!! :)

An old friend from high school (I can say old right?!  We are the same age!!) dropped by this morning with her little man, Christopher!  Christopher just turned two and was ready for a photo shoot!  What a sweet little boy he is!!!  Christopher is going to be having a new little sister in just a few short weeks and I think he is going to be a great big brother!!!  Here is a sneak peek of Christopher:

Hehehe!  This is one of my favorites! :)  Christopher brought his monkey friend along for the shoot too! :)  The expression on his face is adorable!!! :)

Handsome boy!!  Those eyes are amazing!!!

Such a "man" pose!!!  Lol!  I love it!!!

He was sooo cooperative with outfit changes and we moved him all over the place!!  Thanks for the smiles Christopher!!!

Christopher and Mama!  I think you have the "mama glow" Steph!!! ;)

Giving new sister a hug...awe....

I'm loving you in blue Christopher!!!  Thanks for visiting!!!  :)

K Family!

My friend, Gina, came to visit today with her three very cute children! :)  Nolan turned 5 at the end of August, Maliya turned 3 this past Monday, and little Barrett is now six months old!  Barrett was giving out the smiles at first but then started to get ultra sleepy...but we got a bunch of good smiles at the beginning! :)  Nolan and Maliya were withholding the smiles today!  Lol!  Gina did warn me...thank goodness for a little photoshop so mama and daddy can get at least one picture of everyone smiling! :)  Here is a sneak peek...Oh!  And I need to add that the TINY baby bear directly to the right was Barrett at just a few days old!!  My how he has changed!!!

Baby Bear Barrett!!! :)

A little photoshop (and a lot of time) opened Nolan's eyes and gave little Maliya a bit of a smile! :)

Closest to perfect without any copying and pasting... ;)

Serious little girl has a little smile...even if the smile didn't originally belong to this photograph... ;)

One of the most genuine smiles from Mr. Nolan!  I remember Landen's 5 year pics all too well...He had the hardest time keeping his eyes open and smiling so he didn't look creepy...must just be the age!  But I am loving this one of Nolan!!!  Seriously?!  What color are those eyes?!  Gorgeous!!!!

Mr. Tennyson-THREE years old!!!

My sister, Katie, and her husband, Ryan, brought over my nephew Tennyson this evening!  Mr. Tennyson just turned three in August and was needing some new photographs!  I was happy to provide them!  Just a side note to stay tuned...Katie is expecting a little man in November so look for shots of him! :)  Here is a sneak peek of Tennyson:

It was tricky getting Tennyson to look and smile naturally...but we got some! :)

The many expressions of Tennyson!  I think this one might be my favorite! :)

We got some giggles out of Tennyson by talking about knuckle heads and porch climbers...family joke...lol!

Every three year-old needs a cheesy grin picture developed!!  I LOVE this one and especially love Mr. Tennyson in his glasses! :)

This is another one of my favorites!!!  I was trying to pose Tennyson and this is what he ended up doing...  I find it incredibly amusing because Tennyson is often compared to Mckauley Culkin from Home Alone...not so funny if you never saw the movie!  Lol!

Growing like a weed...

And gotta have at least one good head shot! :)

Senior Portraits-Alex!

Something different for me today...a senior portrait session and I LOVED it!!!  Quite different than the little ones I typically photograph in that I didn't have to ask Alex 100 times to stand still, pose a certain way, smile, etc.  Alex was super cooperative and just posed himself so naturally!  Obviously, he is in his senior year this year.  Weird for me because when I first met him, he was about 4 years-old!  Still strange to see him driving or to hear a deep voice instead of a high-pitched one...awe...So here is a sneak peek!  Don't worry Micki (mom), there are plenty more to choose from!  Seems that I prefer the pictures with glasses and with the closed mouth smile the most...but I threw in a couple without glasses and with some teeth showing!! ;)  Here they are:

I LOVE this one!!!  The trees looked insanely green today so made for a fabulous backdrop!!!  I told Alex I wouldn't make him pose all girlie...turns out there aren't a ton of "guy" poses to choose from...but Alex did great and was very natural!  He must have had his picture taken before unlike some of the babies I see!  Lol... ;)

Love it!!  Gotta have a shot with the hands in the pockets...classic...

I LOVE this one!  Background looks awesome with what Alex is wearing...I think so anyway...

I have been eyeing up this barn for months...thrilled I finally found someone to place in front of it! ;)

So Alex is a HUGE fan of frisbee golf...so it seemed appropriate to take some shots at a frisbee golf (field?) location.  And Alex is a big Dallas fan! ;)

It was drizzling at this point but thankfully the rain stayed away!!  Thanks for the fun morning Alex!!! :)

Triple the Trouble!!! ;)

All three of my first babies from January have come back to see me now! ;)  Last but not least is Miss Emma, who is now 8 months old!  And she did not come alone!!  Her mom, Jenny, brought Emma, Emma's 9 month-old cousin, Alek, and Emma's 20 month-old cousin, Taylor.  Miss Taylor has also come to visit me before so it was nice to see her again!!  The goal was to get at least one good picture of the three of them together, then each of them alone.  Here is a sneak peek and I will let you judge if we succeeded! ;)

Best of the three!!  Getting THREE babies to look at the same place is really not the simplest thing to do...surprise, surprise!  Especially with all three being very mobile!!!  The easiest way to get them to "stay..." use "containers!!!  Lol...and even this one I did a copy and paste so Miss Taylor would be looking too! ;)  Well, I am happy because everyone is looking with all eyes open! ;)

Loving this one!  Alek was quite enjoying playing in the truck!  Little did he know we just didn't want him to move for a minute!  Lol!  Where did your feet go in those pants Alek?!  Lol...

HAD to do a flower pot pose!!  Love Miss Emma's facial expression here...nothing cuter than when a baby sucks in his or her lips!!! :)

One of Emma and Mama! :)

A very serious Alek...very adorable! :)

When Taylor first came to see me, I went out and bought one of her dresses for my own daughter...now I need this one!  Very beautiful Emma! :)

And Miss Taylor decided she would do some last minute posing...this is one of my favorites!  I love this girl and her spunky attitude!!! ;)
