Hard work...

So I spent an HOUR last night figuring out how to do this type of photo!  I think it was worth it in the end and HAVE to share my efforts!!! ;)  I have also come to the conclusion that my blog flattens my pictures...They are a little grainier than they are anywhere else!  Wondering how to change this?  Or guessing it is like facebook that way?  Oh well...you get the idea! ;)

Lady Emma

Miss Emma and her mom, Jenny, came to visit today!  For being not quite 3 weeks old, Emma was very alert and wiggly throughout the entire photo shoot!  But still got some good shots and she is looking mighty cute!  I have all these shots in a "natural" look too, but loving the vintage look!  So here's a sneak peek! :)

So here is the cause of my children having beautiful blue eyes!  I LOVE it!!!  Not sure what Miss Everleigh is doing in this picture, but I am loving it because it captures her attitude at this toddler age! ;)  My kids love their daddy!  And I love him too!!! :)

Hi everyone!  I have just been insanely busy in all areas of my life lately.  Please pray for my sanity and to know the difference between what God actually wants me to do and what I want to do!!! ;)  But late at night, I have been working on editing more pictures of my Landen and Everleigh...Really starting to understand how to fix even basic things and finding what I like.  While I like the "natural" look of pictures sometimes, I love to be dramatic and really make the eyes pop out in the picture.  My kids look a bit whiter than they already are, but love the look! :)  Here are a few I have been working on! :)

My fabulous sister, Katie, and her 2 year old son, Tennyson, visited this afternoon and I practiced some of my new skills on him!  Here are a few photos of him (and Miss Everleigh too!) from this afternoon!  I got some awesome pictures of the little man, especially considering he sat still for about 5 minutes total!  :)

New heading...

My task for today was to learn how to create my own personalized heading on my blog!  Mission accomplished!  Time for bed! ;)

Blog

So it actually was very easy to get the blog going, but not as easy to make it look like I want it to!  I spent a ton of time just centering the title and the picture!  Anyone know how to get a heading of one picture or a line of pictures rather than just one small one in the center?  This is fine for now...Never thought I would blog! ;)

My adventures in photography!

I have always loved photography.  I got the bug bad though after my 5 year old son, Landen, was born.  It has gotten worse since! ;)  So now I have my son Landen and a one year-old daughter named Everleigh...and a brand-new DSLR Nikon camera!  My husband is regretting getting it for me just a little bit...I have purchased a background stand and some other fun and "necessary" props!  So join me as I play around with finding my photographic style and torture my poor children with endless picture taking!!! ;)  I will be "experimenting" on my niece, nephews, and friends' children for the time being!  My first newborn is coming to visit this weekend and I have baskets, blankets, headbands, and hats all ready to go for her! :)
